The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the western slope of the northern Sierra Nevada, from 10 AM this morning (Monday) through midnight tonight.
Snow is forecast above 6,500 feet.
The total snow accumulations will range between two and eight inches.
Winds could gust as high as forty-five mph. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Plan on slippery road conditions. Snow covered roads, chain controls and travel delays are all possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Veterans Day Holiday evening travel.
A slower, potentially stronger system is expected mid to late week.
