Update at 5:35 p.m.: Calaveras County Sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate a student threat reported at the Calaveras High School in San Andreas this afternoon. Sheriff’s officials relay that deputies have completed a search of the campus, and no threats have been located. They state, “We are continuing to investigate the original report, and there is no active threat on campus. Deputies will remain on scene as the investigation continues. We appreciate the cooperation of school officials and the patience of students, staff, and parents as we work to ensure everyone’s safety. The details regarding the threat and how it was made have not been released.

The details regarding the threat and how it was made have not been released. Sheriff’s officials put out this statement: “We take all threats seriously and are working closely with school officials to ensure the safety of students and staff. Law enforcement is on campus, and we are actively gathering information. We understand that news like this can be unsettling, and we are committed to maintaining open communication as we follow established protocols to keep our campus safe.”
