Handbook And Appointments On Sonora Council Agenda

Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council has just a couple of new items of business at its meeting tonight.

There will be a vote on approving a Rules and Procedures Handbook for council members. It establishes guidelines for councilmembers behavior and for providing transparency in the decision-making process. There will also be a vote to appoint Mayor Ann Segerstrom as the city’s representative on the Central Sierra Economic Development District board and Bess Levine as the alternate committee member.

There will also be a swearing-in of new Police Officer Rylan Matyshock.

In addition, there will be monthly reports from Police Chief Turu Vanderwiel, Fire Chief Aimee New, Administrative Services Director Chris Gorsky, Community Development Director Tyler Summersett, and Public Works Director Mike Lagomarsino.

The meeting will start at 5 pm at City Hall.
