Tuolumne, CA – Non-profits were thankful for the chance to haul in $5,000 for their organizations last week at the Black Oak Casino Resort’s Community Grab For Cash.
The event was held last Thursday, November 21 at the Tuolumne Casino, and the organizations brought their own “hype teams.” There were 10 organizations chosen, including Nancy’s Hope, One Pile at a Time, Twain Harte Area CERT and Fire Assoc and WHOW (Women Helping Other Women) among them. One person from the organization got a chance to enter the cash cube that blew around $5,000. Each had 30 seconds to grab as much cash as possible.
Resort officials noted, “Anyone that grabbed under $1,500 would automatically win a bump to that amount. We gave away a total of $18,270 dollars.” They added, “Over the years, Black Oak has given away over $300,000 during this event alone.”
