Sonora And Summerville Football Teams Advance To State Playoffs

Sonora, CA — The Sonora Wildcats will have an upcoming home game and the Summerville Bears will travel to the Bay Area to play.

After the Sonora Wildcats clinched the Division 6 CIF Sac Joaquin championship on Friday, the Summerville Bears won the Division 7 championship on Saturday.

Sonora is now scheduled to host Kerman High School this Saturday, December 7, at 6 pm in a Division 4A State playoff matchup. The winner will play either St. Augustine or St. Pius X-St. Mathias Academy on December 14 at Long Beach Community College.

Summerville will travel to Atherton in San Mateo County to play Sacred Heart Prep in a Division 6A matchup on Saturday at 12:30 pm. The winner will face Pasadena or Monte Vista on December 14 at Fullerton Union High School District Stadium.
