West Point, CA — Three people were taken to the hospital following a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 26 in Calaveras County this morning where weather played a role in getting help to the injured.
The wreck happened near Higdon Road in the West Point area around 2 a.m. The CHP reports that stormy weather prevented the use of air ambulances forcing emergency officials to transport two individuals suffering major injuries via ground ambulances from the scene.
