TUD Planning To Hire Help For GM Search

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne Utilities District Board of Directors will vote on hiring two firms related to its search for a new General Manager.

A special board meeting has been called for Tuesday at 10am in the district meeting room at 18885 Nugget Blvd. in Sonora. The first item up for vote is a contract with Barber and Gonzales Consulting Group, not to exceed $12,000, to help facilitate the process of identifying key attributes and qualifications of the ideal GM candidate. The contract includes helping to facilitate a series of stakeholder sessions.

The Board will also vote on hiring W. Brown Creative Partners, in an amount not to exceed $25,000, to lead the actual recruitment search for the position.

We reported last month that the district is hiring Dave Andres to serve as acting GM, following the retirement of Tom Haglund. The contract for Andres could run through as late as December 18, and would end upon hiring a permanent GM.
