Railroad Flat, CA – Road alignment and construction is already underway on the Rail Road Flat Road Bridge at Wharregard Road in the Railroad Flat area of Calaveras County and will last until the end of the year.
The work will impact both the morning and evening commute times. County public works officials report that there will be one lane open for traffic throughout the duration of the repairs. Flaggers will direct motorists as both lanes will need to take turns crossing the bridge, which will cause delays of up to ten minutes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is targeted for completion on December 7th. County public works officials caution drivers to slow down in the cone zones where workers and equipment are present.
The Rail Road Flat Road Bridge Replacement Project, a Federal-Aid Project, is being constructed by K.W. Emerson, Inc. who is under contract with the county’s public works department.
