Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will vote on an engineering contract for the Stockton-Washington Corridor Downtown Transit and Accessibility project.
The city requested bids for the contract, and the lone submittal was from Kimley Horn and Associates for around $269,000. The contract would run through late January. The city is looking for a preferred alternative for the planned project and the firm will be in charge of project coordination, data gathering, developing alternatives, and plans, specifications and estimates.
Also tonight the council will continue discussions on the 2019 preliminary budget that will take effect on July 1st. There will be presentations on the budgets for administration, community development, police, fire and public works. The budget itself is anticipated to be approved on June 25. Today’s meeting starts at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
