Update: Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian Crash In Sonora

Update at 11:30 a.m.: Sonora Police report minor injuries in the vehicle versus pedestrian accident on North Washington Street at the Red Church that had officers directing traffic. The roadway has been cleared and traffic is moving freely once again.

Original post at 11 a.m.: Sonora, CA — Emergency personnel are on the scene of a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on North Washington Street.

Sonora Police report that the collision is at the intersection of Snell and Elkin streets by the Red Church. Officers are directing traffic and an ambulance has been called to the scene, but there is no word on injuries. Traffic is getting backed up so motorists will want to slow down and try to avoid the area if possible. We’ll bring you more details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
