Sonora, CA — The Sonora Union High School District will meet in closed session on consecutive days next week to interview candidates for the superintendent position.
The first meeting will begin at 1:30pm, Monday, at the high school in room H-19. The following day, Tuesday, the board will meet at the same time and location. It was noted at this week’s regular session board meeting that there are a handful of candidates that have been selected for interviews, but the names have not been released.
Prior to breaking into closed session to interview the candidates, the board will allow time for any public comments. If action is taken during the closed session, it would be announced at the end of the meeting. The district is searching for a new superintendent due to the pending retirement of Patrick Chabot.
