Update: Meals On Wheels Radiothon So Far Has Raised $117,000

Update at 5:35 p.m.: The Meals on Wheels Radiothon was held this morning on Star 92.7 to raise money for those in need.

It has raised $117,000 so far, and it is not too late to donate by visiting the mymotherlode.com homepage and clicking on the purple donation box. The Sierra Senior Providers deliver 60,000 meals each year to seniors through Meals on Wheels. This year’s theme is “More than a Meal,” emphasizing the interactions they have as well. It offers comfort food, companionship, protection, friendship, and support. The goal this year is to raise $150,000 to support the program throughout the year.

The Meals on Wheels Radiothon will run from 9 am – noon on Star 92.7. Currently, Sierra Senior Providers is delivering 60,000 meals each year to seniors via Meals on Wheels.
