Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Planning Commission will soon review plans for construction of a 2,568 sq. ft. Wendy’s fast food restaurant at the intersection of Mono Way and Fir Drive.
We first reported on the project this past August. The commission will decide whether to issue a site development permit for the project, which would be spread over 1.2 acres. The applicant is Clovis businessman Sukniit Sangha. The lot, kitty-corner to rival McDonalds, is currently vacant. Some people have parked vehicles there for sale. Construction plans also include a drive-through window, outdoor patio, on-site bike racks and 28 parking spaces. The dining room would seat 56. There would be access to the restaurant via both Mono Way and Fir Drive.
The planning commission meeting will begin on October 17 at 6pm in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Sonora.
