Sonora, CA– Wildcat fans took over downtown Sonora to celebrate Sonora High School’s Homecoming. Courthouse park was crowded with all ages of Sonora High School Wildcat fans before and after the parade of football players, cheerleaders and the Golden Regiment Band marched down Washington Street. Students nominated for the homecoming court rode on various vehicles along with each class’s float as seen in the photos.
The theme for the homecoming floats was superheroes. The freshman theme was Incridebles; sophmores, the Justice League; juniors, Guardians of the Galaxy; seniors, the Avengers.
The Homecoming court: freshman princess Hope Houck, sophomore princess Imani Loh, junior princess Rosie Rodriguez, senior queen court; Britney Canepa, Angelica DeGregorio, Kiana Lint, Reese Parkan, and Bella Patterson. After the game students are welcome to attend the annual Homecoming dance.
Tonight at Homecoming the Wildcats football team will take on Amador High on Dunlavey Field. All the local high school football action is detailed here. The junior varsity football teams will play at 5:00 p.m.; the varsity games get underway at about 7:00 pm. During Sonora’s varsity game’s half time the homecoming queen will be crowned.
Tickets to Sonora’s game are $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for students with high school ID and free for Sonora High Students who show their ASB sticker on their ID card.
