Tuolumne, CA — On Saturday afternoon a man was arrested for making threats at the Loggers Club near Tuolumne Memorial Park.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that 53-year-old Dean Bennett showed up and was threatening people with a gun. He would reportedly make a threat and then tap on the gun in his waistband. He then took off and started wandering around the park. Deputies responded and spotted Bennett heading towards a group that was having a fundraiser. He was detained before he reached the group. He was in possession of what turned out to be a pellet gun, several knives, pepper spray, two meth smoking pipes and a portable police scanner. He was booked into county jail. The incident happened shortly before 3pm.
