San Andreas, CA — While Sonora High has a first round bye, Calaveras High will host a high school football playoff matchup this evening.
6th seed Calaveras (6-4) will square off against 11th seed Highlands in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Division VI bracket. Calaveras is fresh off a 47-27 win last Friday against county rival Bret Harte in the “Battle For The Bell.” Tonight’s game at Frank Meyer Field in San Andreas will begin at 7pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. The winner will travel to face 3rd seed Escalon next Friday evening.
Meanwhile, Sonora High (6-4) next week will host the winner of tonight’s game between Foothill and Pioneer.
