Sonora, CA — Travelers should be aware that there are several road closures planned over the coming days and weeks as local communities hold pre-Christmas and holiday celebrations.
We’ll provide more information on many of these events as they draw nearer. Below is a synopsis of the notable road closures in the Mother Lode.
“Sonora Christmas Parade” – Many downtown streets, including Washington Street, will close at 5:30pm on Friday, November 23. There will be no parking on Washington Street starting at 4pm.
“Twain Harte Winter Wonderland Parade” – The downtown area will be closed near the arch as the parade gets underway at 5:30pm, Friday, December 7.
“Christmas in White Pines Parade of Lights” – Blagen Road and Henry Street will be closed to traffic from 6:30 pm to 8 pm on Friday, November 23.
“Angels Camp Christmas Parade, Open House and Wine Hop” – Highway 49 through downtown Angels Camp will be closed from 4-7pm on Saturday, November 24.
“Valley Springs Christmas Parade” – Daphne Street and Pine Street will be closed to traffic from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, December 1.
“A Mountain Ranch Christmas Parade” – Garabaldi Street and Washington Street will be closed to traffic from 1 pm to 2 pm on Saturday, December 1.
“Murphys Holiday Open House + Festival of Wines” – Murphys Historic Downtown – Main Street will be closed to traffic from 5 pm to 8 pm on Friday, December 7.
“Mokelumne Hill Holiday Open House” – Mokeulmne Hill – Main Street (between Lafayette Street and Center Street) will be closed to traffic from 1 pm to 7 pm on Sunday, December 9.
