Santa Fly-in Cancelled But Interfaith Coat Drive Still A Go

Sonora, CA — Due to the inclement weather, Santa will not be flying into Standard Park this morning.

The Interfaith Coat Drive has been moved to the Interfaith headquarters at 18500 Striker Court off Tuolumne Road in Sonora. However, Santa will not be at that facility. Interfaith volunteers will be there accepting your coats today until noon and again Monday through Friday from 10 to 1 p.m..

On Friday morning, the community stepped up to help raise over $118,000 during Clarke Broadcasting’s 9th annual Cash Drive for Interfaith, which was broadcast on all three stations (KVML AM1450 and FM 102.7, KKBN FM 93.5  and KZSQ FM 92.7). As reported here, Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians once again matched all of the community donations. All of the proceeds go directly to Interfaith Social Services to purchase food and other necessities for residents in need in Tuolumne County.
