Sonora, CA — It is a ceremonial day for lawmakers and other elected officials in Tuolumne County.
A swearing in ceremony will begin at noon for those who won during the midterm election last year. They include the two new supervisors, Ryan Campbell and Anaiah Kirk, Tax Collector Justin Birtwhistle, Sheriff Bill Pooley, Superintendent of Schools Cathy Parker, Clerk and Auditor-Controller Debi Bautista, District Attorney Laura Krieg and Assessor-Recorder Kaenan Whitman. In addition, there will be an election for a new Tuolumne County Board of Supervisor chair and vice chair. During 2018, John Gray was the chair and Randy Hanvelt was the Vice Chair. Today’s noon meeting is open to the public.
