Sonora, CA — Deputy Tuolumne County Administrator Daniel Richardson has been appointed to the newly created position of General Services Director.
He will oversee departments like recreation, libraries, information technology and facilities management. Recently those areas have been overseen by the County Administrator’s Office. Richardson’s Deputy County Administrator position will be eliminated to fund the new General Services Director post.
He told the supervisors today, “I look forward to this. Looking at this new agency it is 42 employees that are full time, but in the summer time it doubles in size with all the lifeguards and summer recreation staff that we hire. You get big bang for the buck in the amount of community engagement that occurs from the employees of this agency.”
Richardson’s salary will be just over $138,000. His hiring was approved 5-0.
