Groveland Family Medical Center Expands Coverage

Groveland, CA — It is now easier to see a family physician in Groveland, as Adventist Health Sonora recently made a change to its Family Medical Office in the south county.

Previously, family medicine specialist Dr. Steven Shield was seeing patients two days a week while also splitting time in Sonora. Now, he is based at the Groveland office full-time. He has over 25 years of experience in serving the Groveland community. The clinic is also served by Physician Assistant Michael Layton who provides general medical care and addresses urgent needs. He joined the clinic in July of last year after moving from Salt Lake City.

With the recent changes, the clinic is now accepting new patients, and walk-in appointments. The Groveland Family Medical Office is located at 18661 Highway 120. It is open Monday – Friday from 8am-5pm.
