Update at 7 p.m.: Just over 200 PG&E customers remain without power in the Mother Lode out of the nearly 25,000 originally impacted as the wicked weather blew through this week. In Tuolumne County, 30 customers in the Phoenix Lake area will have to wait until around 1 p.m. Saturday to be able to once again turn on their lights, according to the repair time estimate posted by the utility. The cause has been determined to be an equipment issue.
In Calaveras County, over 190 customers in the Rail Road Flat, Glencoe, Wilseyville and West Point areas are still in the dark and the company has not concluded what sparked the outages or given a restoration time. This is the fourth frigid night in a row that crews will work through the night to restore electricity.

More and more power outages are being restored in the Mother Lode. In the two county Tuolumne-Calaveras region, the number is now in the hundreds, as opposed to the 25,000 without electricity earlier in the week. PG&E will continue to work towards full restoration today. Areas still hit the hardest are around Phoenix Lake, Twain Harte, Standard, Mokelumne Hill, West Point, Mountain Ranch and Glencoe.
