Angels Camp Lawmakers

Angels Camp, CA — Angels Camp City Council went straight to work at its first meeting of 2013. The newly elected council voted in a Mayor, Vice Mayor and new Council Member at Tuesday night’s meeting. The Mayor and Vice mayor were re-elected to their posts. The Mayor is Elaine Morris and the Vice Mayor is Jack Lynch. Both were voted in unanimously.

In the November elections, three council seats were open, but only two people ran and were elected. To fill that vacancy, the council interviewed three candidates at the meeting. The Council voted unanimously to elect Lambert “Bert” Sobon to a four year term.
