Sonora, CA – The CHP reports ice is to blame for the traffic jam. A Semi-truck slid on the wet, slick roadway and jack-knifed. The truck is blocking both lanes of Lyons Bald Mountain Road about a mile up from Greenley Road. The CHP is doing traffic control, but motorists may want to avoid the area.

Update 5:00 p.m.: The CHP says roadway still blocked. They are calling in a Caltrans truck to plow and sand the roadway.
Update 5:15 p.m.: The CHP reports roadway is open, but traffic is slow.
