Markleeville, CA — Some of you in the Mother Lode may felt the ground shake. There was a 4.0 earthquake centered 13 miles southeast of Markleeville in Alpine County at 3:25 this afternoon. We have been getting calls from listeners who felt the quake in Columbia, Mi-Wuk, and Groveland.
Sam Boire felt the quake in San Andreas, “I kind of felt my desk and room shake a little bit and then I looked and saw my desk lamp kind of rocking, going back and forth a bit. I knew what it was right away.”
Boire says there was no damage done to his office.
