Tuolumne, CA — A public forum is scheduled for next week regarding the selection of a new Summerville High School Superintendent.
While there has been much talk recently about the idea of combining a school board and superintendent for Sonora and Summerville High Schools, Summerville remains committed to filling the current superintendent position that will soon be open because of Dr. John Keiter’s retirement.
The District is planning to fill the position by May 1st. Dr. Keiter notes that even if the two high schools would someday merge administrative services, it will likely take several years to finalize and implement the plan.
A public forum is scheduled for February 5th at 5:30pm to collect input regarding desirable qualities of the next superintendent. Keiter says the district would like to hear from the public, parents, students and staff.
