Arnold, CA – There are new details on the outage and how crews got the taps flowing again in the Arnold Area. Hundreds of Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) customers were without water for nine hours yesterday.
CCWD now reports a 12-inch steel water transmission line split in two places. One break was located at a joint in the line and the second break was a split possibly caused by previous construction work in the area. Crews worked on the two breaks near the Meadowmont Golf Course from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. CCWD says the waterlines were flushed and pressurized as well.
Below is a list of the areas without of water:
Mill Woods
Lilac Park
Cedar Center
Hwy. 4 (between1323-1546)
Pine Drive (between1320-1692)
Downtown Arnold
Oak Road
