Copperopolis, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek information from the public about a robbery that occurred yesterday in Copperopolis.
The suspect got away with what is simply being described as a “significant” amount of merchandise from Firefall Jewelry. The man is described as being in his 30’s, Caucasian, 5’10, brown hair, medium build, with a bruised eye. He was last seen wearing a red hat and black sweatshirt type jacket.
The man displayed a round object and told workers at the jewelry store that it was a hand grenade. He also claimed he had an accomplice staged on a roof with a high powered rifle. Detectives believe that the suspect fled the area in a teal or dark green Ford Ranger pickup truck. The incident was reported at 2:30pm.
