Two Car Crash on HWY 49

Sonora, CA – There is a two vehicle crash in Sonora on Highway 49 near Fraguero and Raw Hide Roads. The CHP reports a Lincoln sedan and a Toyota pick-up truck have collided. There are reports that the car is on fire and a passenger is trapped inside. The debris is blocking the roadway so motorists will want to use caution in the area.

Update 3:45p.m.: The CHP says it was a head-on crash. Emergency and Fire Crews are on the scene.  Highway 49 is closed down and the CHP says it will remain closed for at least an hour.
