Columbia, CA – It will be stop and go traffic on a stretch of Shaws Flat Road, between Highway 49 and Jamestown Road in Columbia on Friday. Also, expect delays on Sawmill Flat Road, between Parrotts Ferry Road and Columbia College. Crews will be rock saw trenching along both roadways. Motorists can expect 5 to 10 minute delays.
The work is part of the Central Valley Independent Next (CVIN) Broadband infrastructure installation.
The 18-county CVIN project was funded by the federal stimulus package in 2009. It is designed to increase the broadband infrastructure of the region.
