Yosemite, CA — Yosemite National Park officials are looking for a man that went hiking up Vernal Fall yesterday.
The National Park Service reports that Kenneth Stansby left a note saying he was heading to the top of Vernal Fall, but failed to return to the bottom. However, his backpack was found along a railing near the peak. Anyone who noticed Stensby hiking along the Mist Trail, or John Muir Trail, is encouraged to call authorities. Officials are also wondering if anyone may have found the backpack and moved it to the location it was later spotted.
The number to call is 209-372-0432. Stansby, 73, is from Edina, Minnesota. No further information is immediately available.
