Mother Lode Hometown Reunion

Sonora, CA — Thousands crammed into downtown Sonora Saturday morning for the 2013 Mother Lode Roundup Parade.

This year’s Grand Marshal was longtime rancher Patty Brooks, Slim Edwards was the Honorary Town Marshal and Rich Miller was recognized as the Top Hand. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse puts on the event, and often refers to the celebration as a “hometown reunion,” as it draws locals, past residents and many visitors.

The parade featured 150 entries and lasted just over two hours. It featured a mix of service clubs, school bands, businesses and political figures. This is the 56th year of the Roundup.
