The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee saw a slight increase in overall attendance this year.
Fair CEO Laurie Giannini reports that 38,456 visitors passed through the gates this past weekend, compared to 37,688 in 2012.
The Kitchell family of Angels Camp took home the three top places in this year’s International Frog Jump. Riley Kitchell took first place honors, second place went to Laura Kitchell and third place was awarded to Caitlyn Kitchell.
Nicole Sass was this year’s Mother Lode Idol winner, Chelsea Ruthrauff was Miss Calaveras and Julia Kalika the Saddle Queen. For more results from the 2013, you can check out frogtown.org.
