Groveland, CA — It’s Graduation time for the Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School District.
Dave Urquhart, the first year Big Oak Flat-Groveland School District Superintendent/Principal, was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
The district is made up of Moccasin School, Teneya Elementary (270 students), Tioga High School (90 students), Don Pedro High School (25 students).
A total of seventeen seniors will graduate from Tioga High School on Friday evening at 6 PM. Eight students will graduate Don Pedro High School on Saturday afternoon at 4 PM in the campus gym.
Over the Summer, a new playground will be built for the young children of Teneya Elementary. It is the final project of the 2005 bond measure that was passed.
Next year, a new academic decathalon class will be offered at Tioga and a drum corp will be added. Computer labs and technology classes will also be added to both high schools.
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
