Tuolumne County, CA — There is a solo car crash in Tuolumne County on Highway 49 at Mormon Creek Road near Columbia. The CHP reports a Porsche hit a tree and is overturned on the highway. There are reports the Porsche was traveling at a high rate of speed. There is no word on injuries, but the roadway is blocked at this time so motorists should use caution in the area.

Update 8:00pm: The CHP reports the crash is a fatal one. There is no word on how many people were in the car at the time of the crash. Highway 49 is shut down and traffic is being deverted to Rawhide Road. Motorists will want to use caution in the area.
Update 9:10pm: The CHP reports Highway 49 is open.
