Sonora, CA — A plan for a large senior living complex off Tuolumne Road has cleared a hurdle.
The Eagle’s Nest Independent Living Facility went before the Tuolumne County Planning Commission last night. The commissioners heard some complaints from neighboring property owners about increased traffic and runoff concerns, but in the end the commission recommended approval of the project with a 6-0 vote.
Plans call for two assisted living facilities, which would each house 80 units. In addition, there would be a medical office building, 21 fourplexes, and three duplexes. It would be spread over 34 acres on Eagle Ridge Drive West.
The site is 460 ft. southwest of the intersection of Tuolumne Road and Eagle Ridge Drive West.
The Tuolumne County Supervisors will decide the fate of the project during the July 2nd meeting.
