Funding For Transit Projects

Sonora, CA — Caltrans has allocated $250 million to improve public transit across the state, and money is coming to Tuolumne County.

Caltrans reports that $1.4 million will be used to design and make bus stop improvements for the Tuolumne County Transit Service. This includes new signage, benches, and shelters to keep riders dry during the rain and snow season.

The money is coming from Proposition 1B, a voter approved transportation measure passed in 2006.
