Cooling Stations Closed

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County is no longer operating its cooling stations.

County Office of Emergency Services Coordinator Tracie Riggs says it is because of the cooling temperatures. Highs in the lower foothill elevations are expected to be in the mid-90’s today, after a week straight of triple digit temperatures.

The county had been offering cooling stations over the past week, most recently at Sonora Elementary, Groveland Library Community Room, and at the Behavioral Health Enrichment Center.
