Heavy Field Of Calaveras Supervisorial Candidates

Candidates continue to express interest in the Calaveras County Supervisor seats.

In June, the District One, Two and Four seats will be up for vote. Candidates that have taken “in-lieu” papers to begin collecting signatures are incumbent Gary Tofanelli, Clifford Edson and Joe Kelly. In District Two, where incumbent Steve Wilensky is not seeking re-election, candidates include Michael Del Orto, Anita Paque, Bryce Randall, Thomas Schwartz and Chris Wright.

In District Four, former Supervisor Russ Thomas is the only candidate that has taken out papers thus far. However, incumbent Tom Tryon has announced that he plans to run for re-election.
