Man Killed In Yosemite

Yosemite, CA — The windy conditions resulted in a fatality in Yosemite National Park over the weekend.

Park officials report that a part-time ranger was sleeping in a tent when he was crushed by a falling tree. He is identified as 27-year-old Ryan Hiller of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Hiller had spent the past five years working as a ranger during the summer and ski resort employee in the winter. Hiller was staying in an employee housing area in the park.
