MTSJH Awards $22,000

San Andreas, CA — Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital has selected four organizations to receive annual Dignity Health Community Grants.

“On behalf of Dignity Health, we are pleased to award more than $22,000 in community grants this year,” says Patti Monczewski, Interim Hospital President. “Each organization provides invaluable services to the community ranging from seniors to the youth.”

This year’s honorees include:

Calaveras Mentoring Foundation: $8,677 will support “at-risk” youth in achieving personal and academic goals.

Community United Methodist Church Food Pantry: $5,000 will help purchase food.

Mind Matters Clinic: $5,400 will help families addressing autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders and learning disabilities.

Calaveras Unified School District Educational Foundation for Toyon Middle School: $3,000 supports a two week instructional program for a volunteer health teacher.
