Sonora, CA — The City of Sonora’s budget is holding up strong for the current fiscal year.
The City Council will hear a mid-year budget review at Tuesday’s meeting. The City is estimating that there will be a year-end surplus of $465,000. $325,000 is from the one-time sale of property. In other business, the Council will vote to close Washington Street on May 12 for the upcoming Mother Lode Roundup Parade.
There will also be time set aside to give out personnel awards to members of the Fire and Police Departments. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
