Groveland, CA – Lumsden Road is back open in the Stanislaus National Forest after being closed for about a year.
A rockslide last winter, eight miles east of Groveland, resulted in a temporary closure. The Forest Service reports that the debris was removed, new retaining walls built, new drainage features were added and the section was repaved.
The work was completed by KC Equipment out of El Cajon. The contract was for $763,000.
