Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will hear an update on economic development and the Amgen Tour at Monday’s meeting.
Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority Director Larry Cope will give a presentation on the recent report card released by the California Association for Local Economic Development. Representatives from CALED were in the county last month for a two day summit, and gave the county positive marks when it comes to growing the local economy.
During staff reports, there is time set aside for an update on the upcoming Amgen Tour of California. Sonora will host the start of Stage Four on May 16th.
The Council will also hear a report from organizers of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree project and the city will receive a commemorative gift. Monday’s meeting begins at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
