Unemployment Numbers Remain Steady

Sonora, CA — There was little change in the Mother Lode unemployment numbers last month.

The state reports that Tuolumne County’s rate in February was 13.3 percent, as opposed to 13.2 percent in January. Calaveras County’s rate was 14.5 percent last month, compared to 14.4 percent the month prior.

California’s unemployment rate was unchanged at 10.9 percent in February. The State of California reports that there were 565,418 people receiving regular unemployment benefits last month, compared to 575,895 in January, and 666,260 at this time last year.
