A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the Sierra Nevada from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.
Eight to twelve inches of snow accumulation is likely above 6000 feet. One to two feet of snow is possible above 7500 feet.
According to the National Weather Service, winds of twenty to thirty mph are expected with gusts reaching up to fifty mph.
