Sulfur Spill Closes A Yosemite Entrance

Yosemite, CA — The Highway 41 entrance into Yosemite National Park is closed this morning.

Last night 600 bags of sulfur fell from a big rig truck on Highway 41 near the Yosemite entrance gates. Each bag was 25 lbs. There were multiple small fires that started and had to be extinguished by area firefighters. Officials hope to have the Highway 41 entrance into Yosemite open by noon today.
