Carson Hill, CA — If you hear a big boom Friday morning don’t be alarmed. It’s just the sound of a kid getting his wish.
Explosions are what an eight year old terminally ill boy with Leukemia, from Texas, wants to see more than anything. The Calaveras Sheriff’s Bomb Team and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are happy to make that dream come true.
Sgt. Blain Smith says this all came about when the boy was on a gold mining trip in the area. He told mine officials about his wish and they got the bomb squad on board.
Mother Lode residents could hear up to five blasts. Smith says the last one will be like a Hollywood movie with shooting flames, lots of smoke, and a big bang.
