Litter Closes Road

Goveland, CA — A clean up on Old Priest Grade today will mean a detour for motorists. The road is shut down until noon as volunteers are picking up litter there.

Trash collectors find anything from tires to fast food bags thrown along the road. Tuolumne County Road Superintendent, Barry Bynum says you can face legal action if your caught dumping trash including them putting a lien put on your property taxes.

The clean-up is part of the Volunteer Litter Pickup Program sponsored by the Community Resources Agency.
