Update: Motorcycle Crash On HWY 108

Update at 12:30 p.m.: The CHP reports that emergency crews have cleared their equipment from the westbound lane of Highway 108 near Rushing Hill Lookout intersection in the Keystone area of Tuolumne County after a motorcycle crash. Traffic is moving freely once again. One person was flown from the scene with major injuries.

Update at 12:15 p.m.: The CHP reports that an air ambulance has landed and one person complaining of neck, back and leg pain is being flown from the area. Traffic is impacted with one of the westbound lanes of Highway 108 blocked by emergency equipment as officers are directing traffic.  Further details on the crash are below.

Original post at Noon: Keystone, CA — The CHP is on the scene of a motorcycle crash where an air ambulance has been called to the scene.

The CHP reports that the wreck happened around 11:30 a.m. on Highway 108 along the westbound lanes at the Rushing Hill Lookout Road intersection. It is unclear what caused the bike to go down, but one person is injured. Equipment from emergency personnel is blocking one of the westbound lanes and officers are directing traffic, which is getting backed up. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
